I've been at Kaleidoscope

since July 10, 2023.

I'm a quirky 10 yr old spayed female who was brought in from another rescue for rehabilitation. I was on my 7th life but it felt like my 9th! Turns out, I have COPD which explains why I couldn't breath for so long! After 3 months of deciding if I wanted to give up or not, the love and care I received from Kaleidoscope made me want to survive. I went back to the previous shelter with a new lease on life and a clean bill of managed health. But sadly, I didn't continue to receive the loving care and daily medications I needed to live a normal life. So, I decided to skip right to my 9th life since I couldn't bear the thought of fighting that fight again. I came back to Kaleidoscope with nothing but my last breath. And, once again, these saviors believed in me and held my paw while I decided to give this life one last try. I'm so glad I decided to fight because now I get to be a hospital receptionist! But, I wonder what a family life would be like, one that would give me the tender, loving care I need. Humans that would be willing to give me my daily medications and not mind my occasional drippy nose or my snoring or my permanent held tilt. My bio doesn't sound like I'm your perfect kitty, but everyone I meet says I sure am! I'm not bothered by most doggies or kitties but I haven't been child tested. I don't think I'd mind any calm, understanding humans so age doesn't matter to me.
